Let's actually complete the game this time!
This Playthrough will show all 150 Power Stars, and as a bonus, I'll show all the mini games in the last part. Just please keep in mind that I'm not going to do that good in the game, because controlling the characters is just awkward compared to the original N64 version.
In this part, we collect 20 Power Stars, along with rescuing Mario and finding the Wing Cap.
These are the Power Stars obtained in this part:
Behind Chain-Chomp's Gate: This Star can be obtained with any character. You have to Ground Pound the stake that's attached to the Chain Chomp's chain to free it. It will then crash into the gate, letting you get the Star. Toss an Egg at the Chain Chomp with Yoshi to stun it.
Big Bob-omb On the Summit: You need to reach the top of the Summit (with Yoshi) to face the Big Bob-omb. Since Yoshi can't grab the Big Bob-omb, he needs to eat the Bob-ombs that Big Bob-omb throws, then spit them back at him. Three hits will defeat him.
Footrace with Koopa the Quick: Koopa the "Quick" wants to challenge Mario and only Mario to a race. Since we don't have him at the time, we'll need to take a Mario Cap to transform into Mario, then race him. You just need to reach the summit, but you can't use the cannons. If you win the race (and trust me, you will), you'll get the Star.
5 Silver Stars!: This stage has you looking for the five Silver Stars scattered across Bob-omb Battlefield. Getting all five of them will give you a Star.
Big Bob-omb's Revenge: Now, this one is more like the first mission of Super Mario 64. You have to reach the summit, but disguised as Mario. You'll fight Big Bob-omb by getting behind him and picking him up, along with throwing him. Doing this three times will defeat him, giving you the Star.
Find the 8 Red Coins: Just as the name implies.. You have to find the eight Red Coins scattered across Bob-omb Battlefield.
Chip Off Whomp's Block: You need to reach the top of the Fortress and defeat the Whomp King by Ground Pounding on his back three times. If you do this, he'll give you a Star.
To The Top Of The Fortress: Go the same way as before, but climb up those extra platforms to the Star.
Sunshine Isles - Secret Star: In the Rec Room, you'll find a painting. Jump into it, then collect the five Silver Stars scattered across Sunshine Isles for a Star.
Goomboss Battle - Secret Star #1: The normal mission has you reaching Goomboss and beating him by letting Yoshi eat Goombas, turn them into Eggs, then tossing them at Goomboss three times to defeat him. For this Star, you need Mario. Step on the Star Switch, then run to the wall and Wall Jump to the Star before time runs out.
The Princess's Secret Slide - Secret Star #1: By jumping into the window to the right of the Rec Room's entrance, you'll find this place. If you reach the bottom of the slide in under 21 seconds, you'll reveal a Star.
The Princess's Secret Slide - Secret Star #2: Just go down the slide normally and hit the Block for this Star.
Fall Onto The Caged Island: Climb up the tree near the entrance of Whomp's Fortress to find Hoot the Owl. Ride him to the Star, then drop to it.
Blast Away The Wall: Using the cannon, launch yourself into the wall to the right with a crack to reveal a Star for you to collect.
Shoot Into The Wild Blue: Using the cannon, you have to fire yourself to the ledge, then climb down the pole to the Star.
Whomp's Fortress - 100 Coins: This is very easy to do, as there's a bunch of Coins, just collect the Coins scattered around the place for an easy Star.
Red Coins On The Floating Isle: The Red Coins are pretty easy to find here. Just collect them for a Star.
Switch Star Of The Fortress: Follow the path under the path to the right to find a block. Punch it to reveal a Star Switch. Now, quickly make your way to the Star while avoiding many Piranha Plants.
? Switch - Secret Star: To get here, you have to have at least 14 Power Stars, then look up into the bright light in the lobby as Mario. Also known as "Tower of the Wing Cap", this stage has you descending with your new power to collect the eight Red Coins. All of the blocks for the Wing Cap will also be solid when the switch is pressed.
Mario Wings To The Sky: With our new ability, we can get a new Star. With Mario, get to the floating section of Bob-omb Battlefield, then use the cannon and the Wing Cap to fly through all five rings of Coins (they will only count if the center Coin is collected). Doing this will get you a Star.
