Let the Stones Cry Out

Luke 19:40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” The King has come… Let the stones cry out. The crowd was shouting Jesus’ name As He rode into the city “Blessed is the King who comes In the name of the Lord” But some demanded silence They wanted every voice to cease But Jesus said, “If they keep quiet The stones will cry out for Me” You can silence human voices You can turn your face away But the truth will not be buried And creation still obeys Let the stones cry out! Let creation testify! Jesus Christ is King and Lord The truth will never die! If the voices all fall silent The rocks will take our place Let the stones cry out For the glory of His name! Two tablets carved from stone Carried words that came from God Ten commands that showed His people How to walk the righteous road By the Jordan, stones were raised So their children would remember “The hand of God has brought us here His faithfulness forever” Generation after generation Tell the story of His grace Remember what the Lord has done And never lose your way Let the stones cry out! Let creation testify! Jesus Christ is King and Lord The truth will never die! If the voices all fall silent The rocks will take our place Let the stones cry out For the glory of His name! There was a stone before a tomb Where they laid the body of the Lord But on the third day it was moved And death could hold Him no more “I am the resurrection And the life,” He said The stone was rolled away And Jesus Christ had risen from the dead! LET THE STONES CRY OUT! LET CREATION TESTIFY! JESUS CHRIST IS KING AND LORD THE TRUTH WILL NEVER DIE! IF THE VOICES ALL FALL SILENT THE ROCKS WILL TAKE OUR PLACE LET THE STONES CRY OUT FOR THE GLORY OF HIS NAME! The King has come. The stone is moved. The tomb is empty. Jesus lives. Let the stones cry out.
