My best friend in coaching is Nebraska head coach, Matt Rhule.
30 years ago we developed the LOAF policy together.
A LOAF could be changing speed during a play, staying on the ground too long, turning down a hit, or taking the path of least resistance. The whole idea was simple: play with relentless effort on every single snap.
And then there’s the Lions and Sheep tape.
Effort, violence and physicality put you on the Lions tape. Turn down a hit or take the easy way out, and you’re on the Sheep tape.
We started that at Albright College almost 30 years ago.
Let’s see if it’s alive and well at Nebraska.
If you like this stuff, let me know with that thumbs up and by subscribing. We're going to be trying to get 1% better with these each week. We'd love it if you joined and became ONE of US. #OOU
And let me know what y'all want broken down next!
