S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - Heart of Chornobyl (2.0) #1,770: The Savage Cordon

I was in the Cordon, just west of the Old Mill and near the Electro Tunnel, going around it over the hillside of the railroad tracks. When I descended the embankment, I stayed clear of the Pig Farm, choosing to go into the thick woods to avoid any mutants. I went along the western bluff wall, soon coming out of the woods, where I could see the main road going north. I looked across the road to the other side, using my scope to scan the distance. I was moving along the bluff wall with the intention to go to the Outer Checkpoint. I expected to find Bandits there, like I did before, so I approached it carefully. As I got within sight of the Outer Checkpoint, through my rifle scope I could see the back of three Bandits, going north within the compound. I fired at them, getting all three to turn around and try to figure out where the shots were coming from. One Bandit came to the front gate and after a couple of rounds, I shot him in the head where he fell. Another Bandit ran out by the front wall, where it took two shots to bring him down. The third Bandit went within the inner wall and came out at the far eastern side, where I fired several shots, that helped him find me, and he fired back with automatic gunfire. It took five shots to bring him down, and I was soon going forward to loot all three of them. When I got to the front gate, standing near the large truck in the road, my HUD suddenly detected red triangles coming up on my flank by the eastern bluff wall. I ran within the compound to go to the back and up the stairs, where I climbed the ladder to the roof. I looked over the edge of the roof and saw a Mercenary at the front gate with a M860 firing at me, that I pumped with several shots making him tumble by the front gate. A second Merc fired at me with his shotgun, standing next to the truck, as I got him with one headshot. I quickly looked around and saw a third Merc outside the walls, hiding behind a tree. I aimed and dropped him with one headshot too. The shootout was over, as I climbed down to loot the three dead Bandits and three dead Mercs. I went up to the second floor to sort some of the excess supplies, but I decided I needed to take all the weapons to my stash, at Quiet's Camp to the northeast rather than hauling it back to the Rookie Village. I made my way along the bluff wall, crossed the road and arrived at Quiet's Camp where I dropped of all the weapons and excess supplies. I bought some .308 ammo from Quiet and then stopped by to talk to the sentry at the dock out front, and I quickly made my way back to the Outer Checkpoint. As I arrived and got on the roof again, U was just in time to see two Bandits going south out the front gate. I dropped them quickly and when I went to loot them, I was attacked by a pack of mutant dogs, where both of us had trouble going into the anomalies. I went south along the eastern bluff wall, being careful of running into any men and mutants. Once I got near the Old Farmhouse, I went inside the two-story building, coming out at the other side where I went to the brick ruins where the Loners made camp. Just as I arrived it came under attack by a herd of Flesh, and everyone was shooting in all directions as the swept over the camp. After the fight, there were two dead Loners I looted and when I left, I found three dead Bandits just east of the Farmhouse. It was a good thing I had taken the looted weapons from the gun battle at the Outer Checkpoint, because I now had the loot of five Bandits and two Loners as I went south. I decided to go across the open fields to the southeast, towards the Transport Tunnel. I expected Bandits there too, so I went across the train tracks and first went to the Locomotive that was off the tracks down in a ravine. I found a knapsack stash inside the train engine and carefully made my way around the bubble anomalies that surrounded it. As I left it and moved towards the train tracks, I came upon two Bandits at close range that I shot like a madman. I looted the two Bandits and saw more dead at the train cars ahead. I found two dead Loners and two dead Bandits, which meant the two Bandits I just killed were the survivors. Now I had the loot of nine Bandits and four Loners, making me go inside the train car deep inside, where I dropped off excess supplies in the safe, so I could manage carrying all the weapons I now had. I went along the train tracks all the way to the railroad bridge, where I crossed the road beneath it and then back up the embankment, continuing along the tracks until I descended east of the Electro Tunnel and went south back to the Rookie Village. I stopped to see Sidorovich first, where I sold him the yellow weapons and took a side job to take care of some mutants that were interfering with his trade. I went to my stash and dropped off all the red weapons and excess supplies. Then I went to Multitool to get my armor and weapons repaired. Game Note:
