Use A Magnet To Remove Black Sand To Improve Fine Gold Recovery

I demonstrate how to use a magnet to remove magnetic black sand from your cons for better fine gold recovery. The black sand I have is a very extreme example because it comes from the Great Lakes and is full of iron ore due to the shipping industry. Many ships have sunk off the shores of the great lakes so our shores are loaded with magnetic materials. I use a magnet and 2 or 3 pans to sort out the heavy magnetic materials. Gold is the heaviest thing in your pan but the magnetic black sand is quite heavy as well. This can make fine gold recovery very hard. By removing the black sand your fine gold recovery systems such as the Blue Bowl or Miller Table work much better and faster.
