A Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 23SEPT2026

This California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan at 0710 MDT (1 hr. & 27 min. late). The power from P42s #81 & #146 brought the 8-car consist to a stop with car 7 (coach) to the station platform for service to 1 traveler stepping from the coach and 2 new fares boarding that car. I had oversized baggage that went to the storage area in car 8 (coach/baggage combo). With the station work safely accomplished, Dave gave the departure cue and on a clear signal the Zephyr rolled west toward Union Station in Denver. There were 2 Phase VII cars in this consist: the dedicated baggage car and the standard coach (car 7). My thanks, as always, to the operating crew for the greetings today. Everyone please stay safe!
