Quiet, Please - "Camera Obscura" (Old Time Radio, 1947)

Quiet, Please presents “Camera Obscura,” episode 19 of the classic radio series Quiet, Please, originally broadcast on October 13, 1947. Written and directed by Wyllis Cooper, the Mutual Broadcasting System drama stars Ernest Chappell and Charita Bauer. In Santa Monica, a man named Si tells of a troubling secret tied to a missing man, a distraught young waitress, and the real camera obscura in Palisades Park. Within its darkened room, a lens and mirror project the living world outside—and perhaps bring the past uncomfortably close. Quiet, Please presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
