Are you praying for a spouse, a child, a friend, a family member who feels far from God and you do not know exactly what to say? I want to give you a series of scriptures that are going to completely change how you pray for the people in your life who need God. Isaiah tells us to keep Him in remembrance and to plead together with Him. That means we speak His Word back to Him in prayer. And in this teaching I am walking through exactly which scriptures to pray when you are believing God to open the heart of someone you love. We start in Acts 16:14 with Lydia, the first woman in Europe to give her life to Christ. The scripture says the Lord opened her heart to pay attention and to respond. That is your prayer over every person you are interceding for right now. Not that they would feel it or figure it out on their own but that God would open their heart the same way He opened hers. We also go into John 6:44 where Jesus says no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. Stop waiting on the feeling and start asking God to do the drawing. If you feel resistant ask Him to open you wider. If you feel distant ask Him to draw you closer. He can do it and He will do it. I also break down the miracle in Mark 7 where Jesus looks up to heaven and says Ephphatha which means be opened and released and the deaf man could hear and speak plainly. That same word open used in Acts 16:14 is the same word used in Mark 7. The opening of a heart is a miracle God can perform and it is the same miracle you are praying for everyone on your intercession list right now. 🕒 CHAPTERS 00:00 – Scriptures to pray when interceding for someone far from God 00:47 – Acts 16:14 and the story of Lydia 02:30 – Your only job is to be open 03:45 – John 6:44 and how God draws people to Himself 05:00 – Stop waiting on the feeling.
