When life feels busy, take a quiet day off in Japan.
Hi, I'm Nobu. During Japan's Silver Week holiday, I left Koriyama for a four-day solo road trip through Hokuriku. On day one, I travel through Toyama and spend the night in Kanazawa.
I walk from Toyama Station to Fugan Canal Kansui Park, try Toyama Black ramen with rice and a raw egg, and reach Amaharashi Coast just as the rain returns. The Tateyama Mountains are hidden, but a local train passes by the sea. After dark in Kanazawa, I enjoy a seafood bowl and take a quiet walk through the illuminated castle and gardens.
I hope this small journey gives you a moment to slow down. Turn on captions to follow the story. If you'd like to come along on day two, from Kanazawa to Yamanaka Onsen, please subscribe.
Thank you for watching. See you on the next day off.
