Welcome to the Emirates - I was Adopted at the UAE Border 🇦🇪 (S2/E82)

After travelling through Saudi Arabia, it was time to cross the border into the United Arab Emirates and make my way towards Dubai. At the border, I met two Emiratis from Abu Dhabi. One of them had to leave again but Abdulla, invited me to follow him to Garage 133, That was definitely an unexpected start to my visit to the country. The next challenge was finding my hostel in Dubai. With my GPS repeatedly failing and a road system where one missed exit could mean a very long detour, I ended up riding around the city for almost two hours. At least the unplanned sightseeing tour gave me a view of the Burj Khalifa. The following day was dedicated to the less glamorous side of motorcycle travel: searching for parts, having my tyres changed and taking care of everything that needed to be done. Since the motorcycle was running again, I decided to postpone my visit to KTM. After a long day of errands, I rode to a small harbour near Palm Jumeirah and ended the evening watching the sunset over the Arabian Gulf.
