Mountain Goat vs Wolf: A Cougar Above, Wolves Below, and One Falling Pebble | Wildlife Documentary

Mountain Goat vs Wolf, with a second hunter nobody counted on: a mountain goat nanny and her kid are caught on a pale gray cliff wall late in the year. Above them, on a narrow ledge, a cougar (also called a puma or mountain lion) lies low and watches. At the foot of the wall, a wolf pack waits. Every ledge, every stone and every step on this cliff has a price, and the film follows one very narrow stretch of rock and the choice a mother makes on it, with no gore and no shouting. This is a dramatized reconstruction, an imagined story told with licensed stock footage of real animals, filmed in different places. It is not a recording of a single real event. Along the way the film looks at why mountain goats live where most predators will not follow, how a cougar hunts from above and from cover, why a cliff is a poor place for a wolf pack, and what one small stone can change. In this Mountain Goat vs Wolf story the trap on the cliff turns out not to be the one you expect.
