S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl — Update 2.0 AFTERMATH | Part 12 Last time, Degtyarev warned Skif that once he entered the Foundation, there would be no turning back. Well... I turned back. 😄 Part 12 begins exactly as expected: Skif heads to the Polissya Hotel, fights his way through the Monolithians, retrieves the access card and reaches the underground passage leading toward the Foundation. Then the game presents the final warning: jumping into the tunnel means crossing the point of no return. From there, there will be no way back until the end of the game. So naturally... instead of jumping, Skif turns around. With the Foundation waiting, this episode becomes an unexpected final exploration trip through parts of the Zone I wasn't ready to leave behind. Skif heads toward the Iron Forest, explores the surrounding territory and discovers a particularly beautiful anomaly filled with dozens of glowing, floating objects that look almost like light bulbs suspended above the ground. From the Iron Forest, the journey continues through a passage into the CNPP area, where the remainder of the episode is devoted to exploring the surroundings of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant before eventually returning to the point of no return in a future episode.
