Chicago Tiki & Tapas: 2 Tiki Bars, 1 Tapa Bar, Great Food & WAY Too Much Rum!

Chicago is known for deep-dish pizza and hot dogs… but I came to the Windy City looking for something a little different: tiki, tapas, cocktails, and seriously good rum! Join Professor Hooksy and Tiki N Tapas as I take the channel on the road to explore Chicago's tiki and tapas scene. On this trip, I visit Three Dots and a Dash, Bar Mar, and Hala Kahiki, sampling tiki cocktails, Mai Tais, rum flights, and plenty of great food along the way. 🍹 At Three Dots and a Dash, I try their famous Three Dots and a Dash, Mai Tai, Zombie, Thai Curry Crab Rangoon dip, and shrimp spring rolls. I even make a return visit for a Pupu Platter, Jet Pilot, and Rum Barrel. 🍽️ At Bar Mar, I dig into Neptune's Pillow, patatas bravas, tuna coconut ceviche, pan con tomate, desserts, and what became my favorite dish of the trip—the Octopus a la Gallega. 🥃 At Hala Kahiki, things get very rum-focused as I explore two different rum flights featuring bottles from St. Lucia, Jamaica, Barbados, and Martinique—including Foursquare, Hampden, Neisson, and more. But the trip doesn't end when I get home. I'm taking inspiration from Chicago back to my own kitchen and attempting to recreate two favorites from the trip: 🍹 Three Dots and a Dash 🐙 Octopus a la Gallega So… how close can I get to the real thing?
