Chair 4, although quite old, is the second youngest lift, and the latest new installation at Mission Ridge, coming in at 1971. It provided a second route out of the base, as Chair 1 was a bottleneck, and serves mostly intermediate terrain, with some advanced terrain on the unique Castle Peak. This lift, similar to Chair 3, also had most of the chair hanger arms replaced with later models.
Chair 4 is a Riblet center pole double. It uses a vault drive at the base, and a tensioned return, with a counterweight. The profile of this lift has a steeper first half of the line, with a midway unloading station at the end of this section, a follows a mellower profile to the top station. The mid station is open all the time, and must be used to unload from during regularly occurring circumstances. Unloading from here doesn't go high enough to access the cat track into Chair 3's terrain pod, at Midway. This lift also runs quick, and Mission Ridge has done a great job to keep it in good shape. It runs smoothly, with little to no rattling, and is quite pleasant to ride on.
