☕ Coffee, Discord & more → https://ahnp.pages.dev 🌀 I finally built the portal in The Planet Crafter, the machine I have been promising for episodes, and the very first scan asked for a quartz I have no idea how to make. Episode 61 started as a simple supply run. I wanted to build more T2 butterfly farms, and then I found out I had no T2 butterflies at all. I also ran out of zeolite, so I quadrupled my extraction, got my rover wedged in a tight canyon on the way, and ended up calling it like Knight Rider. Once the farms were packed with 300% larvae, my insects jumped from about 70,000 to one and a half million. 🦋 Then came the moment I was waiting for. In the middle of crafting fusion cells, circuit boards and microchips, I spotted a frog, my first amphibian on the planet. 🐸 After that I built the portal generator, unlocked the Distant Wrecks achievement, and opened the scanner. It lists wrecks with different rarity and difficulty levels, and every portal trip needs quartz to open. The one it wanted was blazar quartz. I can craft pulser quartz, flares and T4 mutagens, but not blazar quartz. So the portal stands there, powered and ready, and I am still on this side of it. I end the episode setting up autocrafters for flares and explosives, and building logistics for the rover.
