THE SIXTH SENSE (1999) REACTION | MRLBOYD REACTS | I SEE DEAD PEOPLE! | FIRST TIME

The Sixth Sense (1999) reaction and first-time watching commentary from The Film Perspective. MRLBOYD watches Bruce Willis help a terrified child who claims he can see and communicate with dead people. Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, The Sixth Sense stars Bruce Willis, Haley Joel Osment, Toni Collette, Olivia Williams, and Donnie Wahlberg. After a violent encounter with a former patient, child psychologist Malcolm Crowe begins working with Cole Sear, an isolated boy hiding a terrifying secret. Cole eventually confesses that he sees dead people who do not realize they have died. Malcolm initially believes Cole is experiencing delusions—but slowly discovers that listening to the ghosts may be the only way to help him. This movie reaction covers Vincent Grey confronting Malcolm, Malcolm meeting Cole, Cole hiding inside the church, the kitchen cabinets mysteriously opening, the significance of the color red, Cole revealing “I see dead people,” Malcolm listening to Vincent’s old recording, the ghost inside Cole’s blanket fort, Kyra leading Cole to the videotape, the horrifying truth revealed at her funeral, Cole telling Lynn about his grandmother, Malcolm realizing Anna has never spoken to him, the dropped wedding ring, every earlier interaction suddenly making sense, and Malcolm finally saying goodbye to his wife. Did the ending fool you the first time? Which clue becomes the most obvious after learning the truth about Malcolm? Let me know in the comments.
