Coen Wilson I Midfielder I Class of 2026 I Sports Reelz

Coen, I have enjoyed putting together your highlight reel and showcasing your strengths. You are technical, athletic, and hardworking midfielder. You do a great job helping your team in all phases of the game. You support your backline by transitioning back to defense and winning tackles. You help offensively by igniting attacks; this can be either from pass combinations, off the dribble, long shots, or with your great vision and awareness to change the point of the attack. I made sure to capture these aspects of your game in your film. Looking ahead, consider a few points to enhance your game and reel as a midfielder. Continue to develop your weaker foot as it opens endless possibilities. It is noticeable that you have already spent some time developing your weaker foot but continue to work on it so you can have the same confidence on both feet. Also, remember to look far before you play short. Meaning, to make it a habit to find the most progressive pass first but being mindful that playing it short or even going backwards is fine too. Your job as a midfielder is to get your offensive players involved in the attack, quickly if possible. This mean quickly picking out those passes when they are on or playing short and keeping the ball when you think it is best to. "La Pausa" is what it is called when you intentionally decide to slow the game down and players like Xavi Hernandez have mastered it. Mastering when to attack and when to possess is vital as a midfielder and I think you have good judgement. One way to keep polishing this skill is to watch players at the highest pro level in your same position and analyzing their decision making on and off the ball. Overall, you are a great midfielder and show tremendous upside in your film. Good luck in your soccer career and remember to continue to have fun playing while competing!
