To celebrate his recent appointment, we wanted to mark his arrival and Urban Retreat’s growth by creating a hair collection that would epitomise everything that Urban Retreat and Andrew Barton are renowned for. And what better way than in our inaugural collection to use the Urban Retreat woman as the inspiration for being Simply BEautiful. #URsimplyBEautiful TIMELESS ELEGANCE Andrew says “This look is for a lady with class. It is a modern day twist on a timeless look. Hair has been dressed with soft volume using Shu Uemura products resulting in sheer elegant sophistication.” HOW TO RECREATE THE LOOK AT HOME 1. Apply Shu Uemura Ample Angora Volumizing Light Foam £17, and Shu Uemura Kengo Feather Lightweight Cream £22, as your foundation to damp hair. 2. Blow-dry your hair using a small vented radial brush working it into vertical sections, making sure you lift the hair away from the face. 3. In each of your blow-dried sections apply a Velcro roller and let it cool into shape. Andrew recommends leaving it for about 15 minutes. 4. Take the rollers out and using a comb, brush out and dress the hair into shape. 5.
