To celebrate his recent appointment, we wanted to mark his arrival and Urban Retreat’s growth by creating a hair collection that would epitomise everything that Urban Retreat and Andrew Barton are renowned for. And what better way than in our inaugural collection to use the Urban Retreat woman as the inspiration for being Simply BEautiful. #URsimplyBEautiful POWER WOMAN Andrew says “This look is for anyone wanting to create glamorous and supremely feminine hair. Shaped to perfection to flatter all the facial features, hair is enhanced with slick styling products from Kérastase as well as wonderfully enriched colour achieved in the salon.” HOW TO RECREATE THE LOOK AT HOME 1. Apply Kérastase Baume Double Je £19.50, and Kérastase Forme Fatale £19.50, to damp hair. 2. Using a ceramic vented radial brush, blow dry the hair in horizontal sections, working from the bottom up the head and secure each section approximately the size of the brush with a clip and allow it cool. 3. On the top section of the hair, at the crown, use a larger vented radial brush to create a smooth top layer with volume. 4. Spray Kérastase Laque Noire £16, onto a paddle brush and brush through the hair lifting it and smoothing it at the same time. 5. To finish this look, spritz with Kérastase Fix Fabulous £19.50, spray and gently loosen and push the hair into place with your hands.
