Stress doesn’t always come from one big problem.
Sometimes, it’s the small things like deadlines, difficult conversations, uncertainty, expectations, self-doubt and everyday pressures that slowly pile up until we feel completely overwhelmed.
I’ve experienced different kinds of stress throughout my life from growing up in a conservative environment and fighting for the career I wanted, to Indian Army training, competitive exams, personal decisions, building businesses, and eventually going through intense anxiety during COVID.
Over the years, I have learned that managing stress isn’t about eliminating it from your life. It’s about learning how to come back to yourself when life becomes overwhelming.
In this video, I share some of the things that have helped me including one rather unconventional technique that has personally worked surprisingly well for me:
CLEANING
It may sound strange, but creating physical order around you can sometimes help create a little mental space too.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, I hope this video reminds you that you don’t have to solve your entire life today.
Sometimes, you just need to take the next small step.
