Etappe der Via Tirolensis führt mich diesmal von Innsbruck nach Flaurling – und sie zeigt eine ganz andere Seite des Tiroler Jakobswegs. Keine spektakulären Gipfel, keine extremen Herausforderungen. Dafür viel Ruhe, wunderschöne Dörfer, historische Orte und unzählige kleine Eindrücke entlang des Weges. Bereits kurz nach dem Start wartet mit der St. Blasiuskapelle oberhalb von Völs ein echtes Highlight. Die außergewöhnliche Lage mit traumhaftem Blick ins Inntal, der historische Pfarrhof und das geheimnisvolle schwarze Kreuz im Inneren machen diesen Ort besonders stimmungsvoll. Danach geht es entspannt entlang des Inns weiter – vorbei an alten Höfen, gepflegten Dorfkernen und stillen Wegen, die dieser Etappe ihren ganz eigenen Charakter verleihen. Gerade die vielen kleinen Sehenswürdigkeiten und die erhaltene Tiroler Dorfkultur machen diese Wanderung überraschend abwechslungsreich. The 6th stage of the Via Tirolensis takes me from Innsbruck to Flaurling this time – and it reveals a completely different side to the Tyrolean Way of St James. No spectacular peaks, no extreme challenges. Instead, plenty of peace and quiet, beautiful villages, historic sites and countless little moments of inspiration along the way. Shortly after setting off, a real highlight awaits in the form of St Blasius Chapel above Völs. Its exceptional location with a stunning view of the Inn Valley, the historic vicarage and the mysterious black cross inside make this place particularly atmospheric. The route then continues at a leisurely pace along the River Inn – past old farmsteads, well-kept village centres and quiet paths that lend this stage its very own character. It is precisely the many small sights and the preserved Tyrolean village culture that make this hike surprisingly varied.
