Four Feasts, One Story | Pronomian Nazarene Foundations Session 7

Passover. Unleavened Bread. Firstfruits. Pentecost. Four appointments God wrote down in Leviticus 23 roughly fifteen centuries before there was a cross to hang on — and He kept every one of them on the day. In Session 7 of Pronomian Nazarene Foundations we walk all four as one unbroken story. Passover is Him crucified: a Lamb examined for four days by men who wanted Him guilty and could not find one thing, and whose bones a Roman execution detail left unbroken without ever knowing there was a statute about it. Unleavened Bread is Him sinless — and His house swept clean. Firstfruits is Him risen: one sheaf lifted up, and a whole field counted as accepted. And fifty counted days later, Pentecost is His Spirit poured out on the people He bought, given for the reason Ezekiel names — to cause us to walk in His statutes. We also deal with the questions honestly: why the Passover meal at our table is never lamb, why Firstfruits falls on a Sunday, what a leavened offering is doing at Pentecost after a week of sweeping leaven out of the house, and what got lost when the church folded four appointments into a single weekend.
