Data quality is not the same as data integrity, and as AI and automation speed up the path from data point to decision, the difference matters more than ever. Amanda Hall, Assistant Director for Business Intelligence and Data Strategy and Responsible Statistician at the Regulator of Social Housing, joined HAILIE on 9 October 2026 to share the regulator's view on data integrity. This is the first time the regulator has spoken to the network. In this session: • Why a clean dataset is not a high-integrity dataset: condition, connection and control • Why speed amplifies both value and error in an age of AI and automation • How poor data becomes poor delivery across safety, repairs, investment, rents, fairness and supply • The common causes: structural change, fragmented technology, weak data management, insufficient controls, and capability and culture • Two anonymised case studies of providers that turned data integrity around • What the regulator expects, when its concern increases, and the Know–Own–Control–Assure–Disclose–Improve cycle • "Tell us": why early disclosure of data concerns helps both providers and the regulator • Q&A: board assurance, sector data standards, AI on poor-quality data, smaller providers, innovation versus standard metrics, and the regulator's outcome-focused stance on AI 📄 Read the full writeup, with board questions and what it means for AI in housing: https://housingai.org/resources/data-...
