In today's sermon, Jesus gives us an outline of what to expect. While wars, famines, and earthquakes point towards the end, Jesus tells us that they do not signify that the end has come. But one event in particular does: the “abomination of desolation.” What is the abomination of desolation? Do we have any reference points in history that help us understand what to expect? Has it already happened, or is it something we should still expect in the future? And, most importantly, how should we live in light of Jesus' warnings about what is to come?
