~ Now this is what i call far-out! when your high on acid any journey is within your reach so why not travel to the moon? Here i'll back up and explain just what this is about...The group are 'the casusals' who formed at 'fremont high school' 1955 and soon were playing gigs in local hangouts such as the 'lucky 13' club where their brand of jazzy lounge core went down a storm and led to them earning enough to open their very own club at 100 franklin st circa '65 they would then open a better club at 'jack london square' hence the 'casusals on the square' moniker...they were bill oliveira/stan cristo/gil esquarra & keyboard player paul gregory who wrote this ditty under that stage name (birth name G Paul Layton)...the single and a double sider 'moon bound side 1/moon bound side 2' (a trip to the moon) custom entertainment records through liberty records and an off shoot of transamerica corporation who owned liberty records & united artists! this single was a promo for 'transinternational airlines' of oakland...they would also be owners of other clubs at the same time 'dons' on broadway (who had a more rock band ethic as the cheaters played there on a regular basis & of course we have a track of theirs on the channel) & 'the grand cocktail lounge'...they would eventually sell up in '73 and move their operations to 'concord' and continued to thrive at the new venue ....
