The Year Cardiff & Millwall Tore Each Other Apart! - Cardiff City vs Millwall 1999 Explained

Two of British football’s most notorious supporter groups. A fiercely contested match in South Wales. And violence that would become part of the history of the rivalry between Cardiff City and Millwall. The 1999 Cardiff City vs Millwall clash at Ninian Park is the focus of this video, as we go back to a time when the Cardiff Soul Crew and Millwall Bushwackers were among the names associated with British football hooliganism. This wasn't simply a story about what happened on the pitch. The day centred on the tension between the rival supporters, the trouble surrounding the match, and the violence that followed as events unfolded in and around Ninian Park. And this wasn't the end of the story. A few months later, the two clubs met again in London at the New Den, where the rivalry continued and further trouble followed. In this video, a Cardiff City Soul Crew member who witnessed the events first-hand gives his account of the trouble from the Cardiff side. We also hear from a Millwall Bushwacker who was there, offering the perspective of one of the visiting supporters.
