In February 1959, nine young hikers died in the Ural Mountains of Russia after leaving their tent in the middle of the night, at around 25 degrees below zero. For more than sixty years nobody could explain it with certainty. This video tells the Dyatlov Pass incident through their last diary entries, walks through the best-known theories, and explains the 2019 reopening of the case and the Gaume and Puzrin study of a possible slab avalanche, always as hypotheses and never as proof.
