Law & Order Toronto Stars Luke Kirby & Kathleen Munroe Talk Season 4 Special Guests & More

Season 4 of Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent premieres with two episodes on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Citytv or stream it on Citytv+. This was so fun for me. I absolutely love anything shot in Toronto that is actually portayed asToronto on screen ! Its just my greatest joy in life to walk into real life filming locations and im so lucky to live in Toronto right now during this film and tv heyday! I got to chat with Luke Kirby and Kathleen Munroe about all things Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent Season 4! From a very surprising but actually totally fitting David Cronenberg guest star moment to why it matters that Toronto gets to play Toronto, it was just a blast. These two are beyond charming! The crush I developed on them both while watching the first two episode on season 4 is very much intact after this chat! This is a good time to apologize about the audio; I unfortunately let my excitement and sheer delight come through in my voice to say the least and so for that I am sorry - I turned the volume down and did my best to fix in post but there are some 'sarah' moments. We also discussed Kirby joining the cast as Detective Sergeant John Darcy, his new partnership with Munroe’s Detective Sergeant Frankie Bateman, and what makes this Canadian chapter of the iconic crime franchise its own thing. Plus, we get into the importance of telling stories rooted in Toronto’s identity, with the city taking centre stage. Known for his Emmy-winning performance as Lenny Bruce in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Kirby brings a new dynamic to the series alongside returning star Munroe and there was plenty to talk about as they take on a new season together.
