Sep 2026: Sold-Out Concerts & Progress at Casa Bela Vista

Bom dia, my dear friends! 🌿 September is still summer in the Algarve—and for me, it’s one of the best months of the year. The tourist crowds have gone, the beaches are peaceful again, the sea is still beautifully warm, and the brutal August heat has finally eased. With a few more clouds in the sky, we’ve also been enjoying some spectacular sunrises and sunsets. 🌅 🏗️ A new building — but what should we call it? Our new “multifunctional building” is taking shape, but it still needs a proper name! Volodimir and I have been brainstorming and came up with Casa Centro and Casa Submarine. But perhaps you have a better idea? The new building will house the bathrooms, storage and technical infrastructure, while its flat rooftop will become a wonderfully versatile space—a stage for concerts, an open-air cinema, or simply a place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. And because it sits right in the middle of everything—between Casa Bela Vista, the Songbird Amphitheater, the Adega do Barco and the pool—the name Casa Centro actually makes quite a lot of sense. But I'm open to better ideas! 😉 🎶 The music continues at the Songbird Amphitheater As the artistic highlight of the month, we celebrated the music at the Songbird Amphitheater—and both concerts were completely sold out. We enjoyed an amazing jazz concert with Sara Espírito Santo and the Fernando Tavares Jazz Trio, followed by Danielle Riegel returning with a beautiful harp journey through time and across different musical genres, joined by Jan Pipal from the Orquestra do Algarve as a special guest on violin. Jorge and Volodimir have continued their fantastic work on the new platform, while inside we’ve made major progress with the water and electricity installations and connections. Jorge has also already installed most of the ceiling lights, and slowly but surely, this new part of Casa Bela Vista is beginning to feel like a real space.
