Still of the Night by Whitesnake…from the album “Whitesnake" (aka 1987). Bass, drum, vocal, & keyboard backing tracks found online. Recorded in ’86 and released in ’87, and featuring some monster guitar playing by the late John Sykes. Ever read how some of your favorite guitar solos were assembled in the studio from several different takes? Well I suspect this is one of ‘em! So I approached the solo with that in mind. There are a few spots in the original where the crossfades can be heard, and it’s especially apparent on the isolated guitar track. I attempted to recreate the studio version as closely as possible....to my ear and ability. Played through Amplitube 5 and Tonex by IK Multimedia. Interfaced to Macbook Pro via an AXE I/O ONE, and recorded using Garage Band. Video recorded on iPhone 13 Pro. Still of the Night is the third track on Side 1 of Whitesnake (aka 1987). If you've never bought this album, I highly recommend you do so.
