Jeremiah in Song, 8 Bible Worship Songs | Jeremiah Medley

Jeremiah in song: a 36-minute worship medley of eight Bible songs and sung prayers from the book of Jeremiah, from the almond branch of chapter 1 to Jeremiah 29:11 and the open armory of chapter 50. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." This is a sung Prophet journey through Jeremiah in book order: the call of a young prophet, the only boast worth making, the tree planted by the water, the letter to the exiles in Babylon, mourning turned into dancing, and the Lord opening His armory. Every song declares the same thing from a different angle: God watches over His word to perform it. It moves through flamenco Latin R&B, 90s French jazz rap, modern R&B, dark soul boom bap and a Middle Eastern celebration dance, with Spanish and French hooks, a distant choir carrying the Lord's words, and Hebrew woven through the shouts: shaqed and shoqed (the wakeful almond, I am watching), hesed, mishpat and tsedaqah (steadfast love, justice, righteousness), tikvah (hope, a cord), deshen (the altar ash that becomes a feast), and patach Adonai et otsaro (the Lord has opened His armory).
