MERCY THAT REFUSES TO LOOK AWAY | Catholic Morning Prayer | October 30, 2026 Begin Friday, October 30, 2026, with this Catholic Morning Prayer from Sacred Echoes of Grace. Through the Gospel of Luke 14:1–6, we witness Jesus healing a suffering man even when religious leaders watch Him critically. His actions remind us that authentic faith is never separated from compassion, and that God's commandments must lead us toward love, mercy, and the dignity of every person. Today's Gospel invites us to examine our hearts. Do we notice people who are hurting, or do we allow our routines and personal concerns to make us indifferent? Are we willing to offer patience, practical help, and understanding when another person's need interrupts our plans? Christ calls us beyond a faith that merely observes religious practices toward a living faith expressed through merciful action. As we pray together, we entrust our families, responsibilities, struggles, hopes, and personal intentions to our heavenly Father. We ask for forgiveness where we have failed to love, courage when doing what is right becomes difficult, and wisdom to recognize the people who need our kindness. On the Memorial of Saint Alphonsus Rodriguez, we remember the holiness found in humble, faithful service. May his example inspire us to welcome others with patience and generosity. Through the Most Holy Rosary, may the Blessed Virgin Mary lead us closer to Jesus and help us follow His example of compassion.
