Ethiopia is planning three more dams on the Blue Nile: Karadobi, Mandaya and Beko Abo. Together they would add 5,700 MW of hydropower to the 5,150 MW Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), at an estimated $10.5 billion.
