TEARDOWN | ROG Keris II Origin

In today's episode of TEARDOWN, we're diving inside the ROG Keris II Origin! As I mentioned in my full review, the Origin appears to be a more serviceable mouse compared to previous versions of the Keris. As while the process of disconnecting the top and base shells is simple, making the hot-swap switches a breeze. Unlike other Keris models, ROG decided to use security screws for all of the mouse's internals instead of the Phillips screws used on previous versions. This means that cleaning, repairing, modding, or doing pretty much anything aside from swapping the switches is extremely difficult, as you'll need a special screwdriver bit to remove them. This makes the Origin's degree of serviceability significantly worse than its predecessors, which is very disappointing to see coming from the Keris & Harpe II Ace. But despite the questionable serviceability barriers here, in today's video, I'll show you how to fully disassemble and reassemble the Keris.
