Camryn Kennedy, a Universal Rhythm alumna, brings a decade of competitive dance experience, including four years with Universal Rhythm Dance Company and multiple years with the prestigious Leighton Dance Project. Now attending Chico State University, she continues her dance journey with the Expressions Dance Team. This year, Camryn’s piece seeks to capture the emotional arc of a song, tracing the journey from longing and confusion to understanding and reconciliation. The choreography explores both the love given and the love absent, infusing the work with vulnerability, forgiveness, and emotional depth. At its core, the piece reflects on identity, family, and coming to terms with the past while embracing self-acceptance and peace. Camryn extends heartfelt gratitude to her dancers for their patience, openness, and dedication in bringing her vision to life on stage tonight.
