Stress is something we all experience, but sometimes we don't even realize how stressed we actually are.
Have you ever replayed an argument in your head over and over again, even though it happened days ago? Or noticed that your shoulders are constantly tense, you're clenching your jaw, or your hands are always tight — without actually feeling stressed?
In this video, I explore what stress actually is, what happens inside your body when you're stressed, and why stress isn't necessarily a bad thing. We talk about the nervous system, the fight-or-flight response, adrenaline, cortisol, and what happens when your body stays in a state of stress for too long.
I also share some things I've personally been trying to manage stress, including self-compassion, socializing, talking to someone, journaling, movement, yoga, breathing, and mindfulness.
Sometimes stress isn't just something happening in your mind. Your body might be telling you something before you even notice it.
If you've been feeling constantly tense, overwhelmed, anxious, restless, or simply unable to relax, I hope this video helps you understand what's happening a little better. 🤍
