[Live] Henry Li Carving a Custom Western Name Seal | CHAULE | Tesla-Inspired Chinese Seal Art

In this video, Henry Li carves the Yang version of a custom Western name seal for CHAULE, inspired by the geometric rhythm of the Tesla-style letterform and the compositional principles of traditional Chinese seal engraving, 篆刻 (zhuànkè). This design transforms the six Roman letters C-H-A-U-L-E into a compact square seal structure, blending modern typography with the visual language of Chinese seal art. This version is carved in Yang style, also called 朱文 (zhūwén), or positive carving—meaning the stamped result appears as red strokes on a white background. The seal is hand-carved on a Qingtian Green Field stone, approximately 5/8 inch square, with a side inscription added to complete the piece. This video highlights the finished carving, stamping, and signing process, showing how a Western-letter monogram can be reimagined through the tradition of Chinese literati seal art.
