The Railway 200 exhibition train, Inspiration, is unique in many ways. It’s believed to be the UK’s first multi-media exhibition train on the railway, displaying infra-red technology and interactive exhibits to tell rail’s pioneering story and encourage more people to consider a career in rail. There have been exhibition trains on the network before. They have promoted a wide range of services and products, including the wonders of penicillin, the appeal of atomic energy, and the ‘poptastic’ delights of a BBC Radio 2 railshow.
