Steep Runway -- Strawberry Ridge

Featured Contributor Mariano Rosales takes you to the Appalachian foothills just west of Hickory, NC. There you will find a short grass runway on the side of a hill. Its about 1200' long, slopes up fairly steep (16% grade), and has a house at the very end. Landings are always done uphill and takeoffs downhill. Tons of fun.
