1 Samuel 10-12: A New King, the Same God

We can ask God to change our circumstances while resisting what He’s asking us to change. Israel wanted a king, but receiving one did not remove their responsibility to obey the LORD. In this KJV Bible study of 1 Samuel 10-12, we follow Saul’s anointing, his victory over the Ammonites, and Samuel’s warning to Israel. These chapters challenge us to examine what we’re trusting in and whether we’re willing to receive correction, even when things seem to be going well. But correction does not leave them without hope. After confronting their sin, Samuel urges the people to serve God with all their hearts.
