Trying to uncover the hidden secret of the Dumbara , we started our journe from Matale at around 9 am on a road that runs from Rattota Riverstone Pitawala-Pathana Thelgamuwa Oya to Laggala Hettipola. While searching fora place that abandoned for about 49 years since 1971, beautiful Bambarakiri Falls, the famous Riverstone high-tech communication towers, the Pitawala Pathana and the Sera Falls on the way out, we came across a stream of water that flowed down beyond thePitawala Pathana. I went to Pitawala with the intention of finding the special place, but I felt that it would be dangerous to do so, so I decided to go back to the road with the determination to find it somehow, and start my journey on the two-wheeler to Ilukkumbura, wondering if there was a way to get closer to this place. On the left side of the road there was a small road like a cart road which was a rocky road. We walked about 8 km without any human mark for almost 2 hours by challenging the words 'turn back'. Went along the narrow path because of the desire to explore this waterfall. Luckily, we met a group of people who were working on a small farm and asked them whether there is such a waterfall, and they were surprised to find out how it was found. After learning a lot of valuable information about the area, we walked through the jungle in search of the cold stream that flows down the northern slope of Batadadu Hill in the Knuckles Forest, after hanging a leafy branch for the god of forest.
