On 21 October 2026, the CHANGER Project organised its third online training session, “Organoids in Research,” as part of its ongoing training series aimed at strengthening ethics review capacity in emerging fields of research. The session explored the scientific, ethical and legal dimensions of organoid research, with a particular focus on brain organoids and stem cell-based embryo models. Through expert presentations and an interactive case study, participants examined key ethical considerations, the relevant legal landscape and practical approaches to assessing research involving these innovative technologies. Speakers: Vicky Mollaki – Introduction to Organoids and Main Ethical Issues Adrien Bottacci – Legal Landscape Kris Dierickx – Brain Organoids and Ethical Challenges Ophélie Sauzeau – Stem Cell-Based Embryo Models and Ethical Challenges The training also included a practical case study on the use of stem cell-based embryo models in research, featuring interactive discussions moderated by Pascal Borry, Kaat Goossens, Ophélie Sauzeau and Margaux Reckelbus. 🔗 Learn more about the training: https://changer-project.eu/material-a... 🌐 Discover the CHANGER Project: https://changer-project.eu/ Funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme. #CHANGERProject #ResearchEthics #Organoids #Bioethics #HorizonEurope
