We tried Georgia’s two Best Day Hikes from Stepansminda

This country wasn't what we expected it to be... Hiking in Georgia was at the top of our to-do list for years. Renowned for the Caucasus mountains and its wild nature, this was one we had to experience for ourselves. From the time we were based in Stepantsminda (Kazbegi region), two hikes stood out to us the most. The Chaukhi pass hike which goes from Juta village, over Chaukhi pass, and to the famous Abudelauri lakes. And the Truso Valley hike, which passes through abandoned villages and eventually takes you to the ancient Zakagori fortress - an absolute must-see. Along our journey, we got to experience how this country actually is, and in the process, we made this video in the hopes of capturing that experience.
