EP 1: The State of NYC Worker Coops

The State of Worker Cooperatives: NYC & Beyond | LevelUp Conversations What are worker cooperatives experiencing right now—and what do they need to become stronger businesses? In this pilot episode of LevelUp Conversations, ICA Group's Joél Mejia and Khalif Nunnally-Rivera sit down for a candid conversation about the state of worker cooperatives, beginning with what they're seeing and hearing across New York City's cooperative community and connecting those experiences to the broader worker ownership movement. The conversation explores three areas: 🏙️ The Landscape — What challenges and opportunities are worker cooperatives navigating right now? 🧭 The Resources — What support exists for worker-owners, and how can cooperatives better navigate the ecosystem around them? 📈 The Trends — What developments in NYC and beyond should worker-owners and cooperative practitioners be paying attention to?
