High in the Carpathian Mountains, near a quiet river, a young family, Andriy and Tetiana, lives in a picturesque Carpathian village. 🏔️🌿 Today, their day begins very early. While mist still covers the high mountains, Andriy and Tetiana set off on a long journey to the top of the mountain to collect ripe plums and apples. The road is long and not easy, but together they can overcome every challenge. When they reach the plum trees, Andriy climbs the trees and shakes down the ripe plums while Tetiana carefully collects them. After that, Andriy also climbs an apple tree to pick fresh apples. When all their bags are full of delicious, aromatic fruit, they begin their journey home. On the way, they meet their grandfather, who is taking the cows out to pasture. 🐄 It is another warm and authentic moment of rural life in the Carpathians. When they arrive home, everyone gets busy with their own work. Tetiana heads to the kitchen to prepare lunch and homemade winter preserves, while Andriy works together with the boys on the house and pours a new pathway leading to the home. From the freshly picked plums, Tetiana makes delicious homemade plum compote and preserves it for the winter. 🍑🥫 She also puts the fresh apples out to dry so the family can enjoy fragrant dried apples during the winter. For lunch today, Tetiana prepares a delicious homemade soup and a potato casserole. She also makes an aromatic sweet pepper salad and preserves it for the winter.
