Drawing on folk wind and percussion music from Shandong and Anhui provinces, and integrating the rhythmic characteristics of Suzhou Shifan Gongs and Drums, the work vividly depicts the joyful scene of farmers celebrating harvest with lively gongs and drums, bright wind instruments and agile plucked strings. The piece has a clear structure: the opening with full gongs and drums sets a festive tone, the middle section has a smooth and melodious melody showing the abundance and joy of harvest, and the finale brings the gongs and drums to a climax again with magnificent momentum. It is a classic opening piece for national orchestras, perfectly showing the symphonic nature of Chinese national orchestra music and the vitality of folk music.
