Hello everyone, thanks for being here. This session is short but potent. I think the energy comes across clearly from beginning to end, and by the time it was over I felt peaceful, lighter than before, my heart was totally open, and I was left with a sense of returning home inside and settling into the heart space there. To simply stop and open is truly one of the easiest things we can do, but because we are so deeply conditioned to follow one thought into the next without interrupting that flow, we often overlook our capacity to stop where we are and open to what is here, inside or outside. This is not always the best or most available option. Sometimes life requires survival: searching, acquiring, fighting, avoiding, hiding, fixing, and doing what needs to be done. But in a moment where we are alone, safe, or simply have the privacy and privilege to watch a video, we may be able to step out of survival mode for a few minutes and open to ourselves. We habitually assume we have to fix, escape, understand, change, or overcome what is happening, and that may be true in many ways and in many moments. However, because of that, the choice to stop resisting what is here and instead open to it often goes completely unrecognized. It is not really taught in our conditioning because it is not a strategy to help us survive better. It is the end of strategy: our innate intelligence taking a moment to be still, open, and see what is here when the mind is not constantly narrowing perception. In not knowing, but remaining present and open, the mind can discover and receive what it could not while closed or moving too quickly. In stopping and opening, you make yourself a good target for Love to hit you, for Abundance to reveal itself, for Wholeness to be felt, for Life to flow, and for Intuition and Insight to arise naturally. The biggest insight I had throughout was that "less is more." You cannot really try to stop and open, because trying is already another movement. You simply stop, and open. Even the thought of “me” having to do something is too much. The energy kept showing me that my effort was not required. Simply put: Let the mind rest but stay awake. When my mind reached that still point and opened, I naturally felt drawn into my heart center. I recognized that the open heart, which is already whole, becomes not only easier to realize when the mind is open, but natural. It felt like the mind was the moon and the heart the sun; when the mind opens, it naturally reflects the heart’s light. I also experienced racing thoughts and a mind that would not shut up in the beginning of the session, but strangely with this energy it felt like hearing a radio left on in another room. The thoughts were there, but muffled, and they did not hook me in the usual way. The Reiki seemed to help me gain perspective on that racing mind. I could see my habit of becoming distracted by thoughts or answering them with more thoughts, and I saw that stopping gave me another option: let the mind run without involving myself in it. Several times, the energy showed me that stopping is a choice. The mind has its habits, but as aware, conscious beings we have the capacity to stop. It is simply not something many of us have been taught to do or even told was possible. Much of modern society seems built around the opposite. Especially in the West, our attention is constantly pulled outward, and our minds are asked to move faster and faster. Stillness, stopping, and opening are rarely prioritized. There is nothing flashy about them. There is no secret trick, no promise, and nothing to achieve. Even so, I can tell you from my own experience that it is possible. If it is possible for me, I believe it is possible for you. We have simply given very little collective value to it. And you have likely experienced it already: in nature, meditation, music, art, during dance or a massage, or those moments where the mind briefly gets out of the way and there is simply opening, receiving, and experiencing. Those moments happen, but they are easy to overlook. In this session, for this short time, they do not have to be overlooked. And with this energy, you may realize it doesn't take a good moment, or a nature moment, or any specific moment, to be able to stop and open, it can happen at any time and in any moment, good or bad. So, sit, relax, and let the energy show you that it is in fact possible to simply stop, and open. Let me know your experience down below, and feel free to leave suggestions for future videos in the comments. All my love. Thank you. I am a Reiki Master and have been practicing energy work since 2011.
