Another Year Around the Sun 2026 | Birthday Bodyboarding

I continued to celebrate my birthday by booking a session at a local wave park. I hadn't been since last year, and most of my 2026 has been plagued by various small injuries that have made me shy away from major training. But I booked a progressive wave session, and, combined with taking breaks when my body needed it, I managed 4 of the 6 waves I caught. I used to do it regularly about ten years ago, but I still feel like a complete newbie when trying to catch waves and timing it just right. Riding it is a whole different matter. Footage isn't amazing, but I also included the surf cam footage towards the end as well. I really need to focus on getting swimming into the routine more often. And if my body feels up to it, trying one more progressive session before things get too cold. #bodyboarding #bodyboard #surf #surfing
