Our Historic Cabin Gets a Historic Chimney Stack

Winter is coming... and we need a chimney. And finally, after three years of work, we have one. When we set out to the do the chimney stack, we knew that we didn't want any old chimney cap. We wanted something that brought the same charm and intrigue that the rest of the house has. And we found our inspiration in the roofed stacks of coastal Slovenia. Though they are not typically found in our region, we loved them so much, that we decided to build our own. Luckily for us, this was a fairly straight forward build. Although it's never fun lifting bricks one by one up two stories by hand, with time and stubbornness, humans can accomplish anything. And the BytheHill Renovation team will figure it out, best we can. Please enjoy this chimney progress video!
