THREE Artifacts in One Run… I Almost Died Getting Them! | ARK Astraeos Ep. 8

Three artifacts in one episode. Gamer Dad is finally getting good at ARK! Well... Let's not get carried away. 😂 Welcome back to ARK: Survival Ascended – Astraeos Episode 8! After our successful underwater adventures last episode, we're continuing the artifact hunt—and apparently I've decided that getting completely lost is now an official exploration strategy. 🌊 Lost in the ocean. 🧭 Lost in caves. 🤿 And while underwater, I somehow manage to forget one particularly important piece of equipment... MY SCUBA GEAR. Excellent work. But forgetting how to breathe underwater was only the beginning. During one of the cave runs, I get KNOCKED OUT and come dangerously close to dying. Luckily, my Megatherium decides somebody around here needs to know what they're doing. And it isn't me. 🦥 MEGATHERIUM TO THE RESCUE! He absolutely comes in clutch and saves my life. After that performance, this guy officially deserves a name. ☠️ Testing the Astraeos Gas Caves We also finally answer something I've been experimenting with: Can you survive the gas caves without wearing a complete SCUBA set? For this run, I successfully use: 🤿 3 pieces of SCUBA 🌿 2 pieces of Ghillie And it works. Which means Gamer Dad has finally learned how to enter a toxic cave without immediately running away. Character development. 🥚 Back to the Rock Drake Cave 🔴 Red crystals 🌳 Special resource trees 🔴 Red sap 🔵 Blue sap The red and blue sap can substitute for certain crafting resources, opening up some useful options when you're exploring and building on Astraeos. And yes... The Rock Drake cave and I are apparently still in a long-term relationship. It's complicated. 🏆 THE ARTIFACT HAUL Despite getting lost, forgetting equipment, being knocked unconscious and nearly dying...
